Same here. I noticed that after the upgrade, upower doesn't send the
PropertiesChanged D-Bus signal anymore, which I'm guessing is what most clients
use to detect changes in the upower status.

You can verify this by running "sudo busctl monitor org.freedesktop.UPower"
and unplugging/plugging the power cable: before the upgrade I see the signal,
but after the upgrade I don't see it anymore.

Looking at the changes in 0.99.8, [1] looks like it might be the source of the
problem.
