Hm, so there is an incomplete config for eth2 and the ifupdown plugin
fails while trying to parse /etc/network/interfaces.

My recommendation would be to remove that "auto eth2" line or comment it
out. That should make NetworkManager work again.

That said, NM should treat this more carefully, obviously.

And while at it, I would suggest setting managed=true to managed=false
(which is the default)
