I don't know if pipewire is stable because I haven't used it for
anything. I don't see a problem with enabling the feature except that
we'll need to disable it in Ubuntu for now because pipewire is in
universe.
(Ubuntu is also trying to promote xdg-desktop-portal-gtk to "main" for
18.10: https://launchpad.net/bugs/1749672 .)
To enable it properly in GNOME, I think we need to package
gnome-remote-desktop, install gnome-remote-desktop by default, and
enable the experimental gsettings flag by default.
I think we should try to do that in time for Buster. I am not working
on packaging gnome-remote-desktop now and I'm unaware of any WIP
packaging for it.
The last time I looked, Fedora still wasn't installing
gnome-remote-desktop by default or setting the gsettings flag.
