I upgraded to 1.19.90-2 again, and I did that, and rebooted,
and it worked.
Then, to be sure, I removed dhcp.conf and rebooted, and...
it worked!
Then I rebooted again, and I got a failure.
So, this is not always reproducible.
FYI, a diff of the logs for 1.19.90-2 (with date-information removed
for the diff) between working connection and failure.

Now, I'll try to see if I can reproduce the failure with dhcp.conf.
