Hi,

(I'm reporting this on behalf of someone else, so please apologize for the
possible inaccuracies)

Flatpak prints a few warning messages everytime a new terminal is opened,
seemingly if polkit is not installed:

  ** (flatpak:11008): WARNING **: 14:38:53.222: Unable to register authentication agent: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name org.freedesktop.PolicyKit1 was not provided by any .service files

The source of the problem seems to be the /etc/profile.d/flatpak.sh script
running flatpak --installations on every shell.

I made a quick test to try to reproduce this on my computer and I get this:

   # flatpak  --installations
   (flatpak:18398): GLib-GIO-CRITICAL **: 14:56:15.151: g_dbus_connection_register_object: assertion 'G_IS_DBUS_CONNECTION (connection)' failed
   ** (flatpak:18398): CRITICAL **: 14:56:15.151: polkit_authority_register_authentication_agent_with_options_sync: assertion 'POLKIT_IS_AUTHORITY (authority)' failed
   Segmentation fault
