Package: pipewire
Version: 0.3.38-2
Severity: important

I recently tried out pipewire as my system audio daemon; in particular I
installed pipewire-pulse so that it would take over from Pulse Audio.
While audio ends up working just fine it turns out this breaks waking up
my external monitor. As part of screen lock both the internal laptop LCD
and external LCD monitor are powersaved via DPMS. A mouse/keyboard event
will then wake both up and present the lock screen. When pipewire-pulse
is installed the internal LCD wakes up fine, but the external screen
does not. It looks like xrandr etc all think the external screen is
connected ok, but it takes a press of the monitor menu/power button to
wake it up.
The screen is connected via HDMI and is acting as my main audio output,
so I suspect there's some sort of odd interaction going on with that,
but the same setup with Pulse does not have any such issues.
edid-decode of the external monitor attached, in case that's helpful.
