[Pkg-utopia-maintainers] Bug#1055007: network-manager: NetworkManager fails to manage pppoa adsl connection

        After upgrade from Debian 11 to Debian 12. pppoa management, which
worked in Debian 11 with network-manager 1.30.6-1+deb11u1, does not work
anymore with Debian 12 network-manager 1.42.4-1


1) I created the connection with :

        nmcli c add save yes type adsl protocol pppoa con-name "adsl-speedtch0"
username password ifname speedtch0 adsl.encapsulation llc adsl.vpi 8 adsl.vci
35 ipv4.method auto ipv6.method ignore

2) then I got an error trying to set the connection up on command line  :

$ nmcli connection up adsl-speedtch0
Erreur : l'activation de la connexion a échoué : No suitable device found for
this connection (device eth0 not available because profile is not compatible
with device (mismatching interface name)).

This command used to work and output a success message on Debian 11

3) I also tried :

$ nmcli connection up adsl-speedtch0 ifname speedtch0
Erreur : l'activation de la connexion a échoué : Connection 'adsl-speedtch0' is
not available on device speedtch0 because profile is not compatible with device
(connection type is not "pppoe")
