Package: network-manager

Version: 1.42.4-1

When using wireguard connections with Gnome DE (bookworm) integrated
network manager or advanced network config, it always gives an
misleading error message notification on disconnect:

/Connection failed
/
/Activation of network connection failed/

The issue is described in the following link, related to how wireguard
and vpn connections and their signaling work in network-manager:

https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/NetworkManager/NetworkManager/-/issues/1405

There's a network-manager upstream fix for this bug, please consider
merging it for bookworm:

https://salsa.debian.org/utopia-team/network-manager/-/commit/c9f16dacd04cc14ace610ac64f9b14ac76dac130

I build network-manager-1.42.4-1 from source with that patch on top,
it applies and builds cleanly.

wireguard works as intended connecting/disconnecting without any
misleading error message notification.

Thanks!
