In general, my advice is to report new bugs for apparently new issues
especially when the bug you want to reply to is very old and you are
running Debian Testing or Unstable. In your new bug, you are welcome
to include links to bugs you think may be related.

This sounds at least somewhat similar to
https://bugs.debian.org/1101748 except that you're using LXDE instead
of Cinnamon. Could you either report a new bug against pkexec or
comment on that bug?
