The current version in Debian unstable is 2.12-2, so your patch doesn't 
apply for the current version available in sid.
That said, I think it would be best if your patch is submitted upstream 
and reviewed there.
Would you mind creating a PR at 
https://github.com/storaged-project/libbytesize ?
