Could you please pretty please provide a mechanism for resolving which 
is the main Ruby version at any time.

Yes, this needs to be changed, but without a supported automated way of 
resolving which of potentially multiple Ruby releases to favor it is a 
mess needing hand-holding.  As soon as there is only one Ruby in 
unstable uwsgi should compile fine again without hand-holding.
