Please elaborate on that experience of yours for needing recompilation - 
I would like to understand that better, because that sounds like a 
structural issue that should be addressed proactively (e.g. by use of 
tightened package dependency or virtual ABI package).

Also, I will lower severity: It seems you are running a mixture of 
testing and experimental, and the situation you are experiencing cannot 
(yet) occur on any (proper single-suite) Debian environment.
