[pkg-uWSGI-devel] Bug#1104672: uwsgi: better identify ABI changes for plugins

Source: uwsgi
Version: 2.0.29-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

uwsgi packaging has a very naive and conservative way to mark API changes
(md5sum uwsgi.h appended to uwsgi-abi virtual package name).

This misses some ABI changes (for instance time_t and off_t for the t64
transition) and at the same time identify ABI changes when there are none
(for instance when a new function is added in uwsgi.h).

Some better way should be implemented adressing those issues, maybe
using an ABI version.

Thanks,

Alex
