Well, streamdev can be packaged, i think, but with softdevice we have
the problem, that it depends on at least one package (libavcodec),
which is not in the official archive. (I guess it has legal problems,
because it is available in Christan Marillats archive.)

An alternative would be the xine-plugin, which Darren allready has
packaged, as far as i saw. :)

I think we have now a really big problem to get the new vdr-packages
into sarge, because the alpha-autobilder still did not build vdr
1.2.6-4, and it is now nr. 439 in the needs-build-queue on alpha. I
allready asked Steve Langasek if he could do a binary-nmu of the
alpha-package (Andreas Metzler suggested me to do this on
debian-devel), but still did not answer. (mail sent to him on Friday)

At the moment we seem to have only 2 options:

1. Wait for the alpha-buildd to build vdr 1.2.6-4, and the following
   inclusion of it in testing, and uploading vdr 1.2.6-5 very late=20
   (short before August 17).

2. Don't wait for vdr 1.2.6-4 to be included in testing, and upload=20
   1.2.6-5 as early as possible.

At the moment i would prefer option nr. 2, because i would really like
to see vdr 1.2.6-5 in sarge. But the problem is that, with this option,=20
we risk even more, that only vdr 1.2.6-3.1 will be in sarge.

What do you think, what should we do?
