Bug#287428: using DVB-T Nova "Budget" card - vdr fails to detect /dev/video0

what would be, in your opinion, the simplest way to get vdrdevel
to work with the budget DVB-T cards as the primary card?

i have avifile-player, mplayer (finally), xine, kaffeine all installed,
have tried various different combinations out including svga modes as
well as x11.

as a last resort i've even tried using dvbstream (successfully) to
broadcast a pes stream and used mplayer in svga + alsa mode - and it
worked.

... or where would these questions be best asked?
