[netbix@debianet.dyndns.org: Bug#282467: udev: link for dvb card is register out of /dev]

Can somebody help the user to debug this? I don't believe that udev can
create devices outside its directory, ever.

I have installed udev package and my dvb card does not work well.
The device create dor dvb card is create out of /dev, i found on /dvb
and not on /dev/dvb
I have create link on /dev
cd /dev
ln -s /dvb dev
And my xine and mplayer work fine.

I can't see how this could happen. Which devices are you talking about?
Are you sure it's not some script creating them? I don't think udev can
even create devices out of /dev.

Sorry for my bad english.

My device is DVB skystar2.
The link of this device is create out of /dev dir, is create in /dvb
The possible scripts that create this is /etc/udev/dvb.sh
The xine and mplayer does not ecognise device on /dvb directory
Work only if device is create in /dev directory
