Yes, hardcoding them in /etc/init.d/vdr would be the best solution.
(If they are set before /etc/default/vdr is sourced, the user can
still overwrite them in /etc/default/vdr - this way we would reach 2
goals: a clean default for /etc/default/vdr, and still having the=20
possibility to configure these things in /etc/default/vdr)
