When I reboot the system, then vdr starts.
But when I use /etc/init.d/vdr restart (stop/start)
it doesn't restart.
mplayer dvb://channel runs as root, only
so here is an intresting point:
$ ls -ld /dev/dvb
d--------- 3 root root 60 2005-09-06 00:20 dvb/
When I'm changing the permissions and restarting vdr
I'm getting the same insane permissions as above.
So we have a problem in udev?

and so on ...
vdr is enabled in /etc/default/vdr
I don't know what version I were running. Is there a way to find out?
(I think it's not older than 2 month)
There are no plugins installed:
# dpkg --get-selections|grep -i vdr
vdr install
vdr-dev install
vdradmin install
# update-alternatives --config vdr
There are 4 alternatives which provide `vdr'.
Selection Alternative
-----------------------------------------------
+ 1 /usr/bin/vdr-lirc
2 /usr/bin/vdr-kbd
3 /usr/bin/vdr-rcu
* 4 /usr/bin/vdr-daemon
