Hi

Thank you very much for your help in answering these questions, it
would be very nice, if you could send your last message again,
directly to Lucian Lancea, because i am very sure that he is not
subscribed to this list. (It is in general better to add people to the
CC if they do not seem to be regulars on the list.)

No, he does not necessarily need softdevice or xine on his setup, it
would be enough to just install xawtv or fbtv for example, because he 
has a full-featured card. (But this would of course require a working 
XFree or Framebuffer, and i was a little bit to lasy to explain how to
setup this.)
