Yes, of course, you are right, in some cases there also might be a
functional alternative. (In case of the weather-plugin, we could easily 
it with the weatherng-plugin.) ;-)

Ok, please go ahead, i think the list from Tobias contains really nice
plugins, and also your suggestions are very good (i guess we will need
epgsearch in the near future anyway, because vdradmin-am will soon
rely on it for autotimers, streamdev is also one of my favourites).
Another pretty important thing would be to have a "softdevice"-plugin
like xineliboutput or softdevice (the xine-plugin in the repository is
no candidate for the official archive as it needs a patched xine-lib
(see #227588, now allmoast 3 years old).

Btw: Timo: I still have not found time to test xineliboutput. :(
