Possible to add a little patch to VDR (?)

Hi List!

Would it be possible to add a little patch to vdr-package which enhances SVDRP
with a new command?

Problem: Using VDR together with another app, both using lirc with only one
lircd.conf is not possible cause of VDR is not releasing the lirc part. So
always both are reacting to lirc inputs ;(

This is espacially sad when using vdr together with xineliboutput, vdr-sxfe
and lirc on the same machine!

Example: MMS + VDR using one lirc-config. As long as both are listening to the
same lirc-daemon, both are getting the same inputs ... if vdr-sxfe is running
or not!
Beeing able to deactivate the remote part in VDR, only MMS listens to lirc.
Starting vdr-sxfe could reactivate remote through SVDRP (using a script).

The user only needs 1 remote configured!

Another example would be using client-server with 2 lirc-daemons connected
through network. As long as VDR listens to lirc it is not possible to use the
same lirc-config on client.
Also here, disabling VDR's remote part would help!

The patch is short and only adds a 'REMO' command for SVDRP.

The patch can be downloaded from here:

further descriptions in this thread (together with demoscripts)

I could imagine more scenarios than only MMS+VDR where this patch may be
useful ...

What do you think?

P.S: Is this list english?
