Hi Mark,

please forget about the first link completely - that's nothing but old
crap.

For the stuff residing @ the second link I have manpages (printouts of
the -h switch in manpage format for every binary) here plus some
patches.

I am hosting this stuff here for my own purpose because you can forget
about everybody there playing "DVB maintainer" or so.

The leading maintainer, Mauro Chehab, has no idea about DVB at all, and
wherever he mixes his fingers in things get fucked up.

The one who is sporadically doing something with dvb-apps is Manu
Abraham: a kiddish kid, a dumb ranter, no real maintainer at all, rather
a gatekeeper than a maintainer.

There hasn't been an official release for years due to the chaotic
personal situation with incapable and moody people who do not know what
a maintainer's job is.

So all I can advise you from my side is:

Use the snapshot from link 2.
Use the patches against this snapshot that I can send you if you wish.

This sounds insufficient, but as nobody feels to take up things into his
hands to change the situation that's the only way that sounds
practicable for me so far.

I am no maintainer there and I will not volunteer there.
Not as long as this kind of people is chairing the policies at
linuxtv.org. It's horrible.
They are the blemish of the whole kernel.org scenery....

Regards

Uwe
