OK, thanks.

Well, this says "localhost" anyway, and /etc/hosts has an IPv6 address
for that. So once VDR listens to ::1, it should already work.

The thing that caused my problems was that if I restart the daemon, it
dumps its running config over the changes I just made. Naughty.
Btw, the config file path in Debian is not /etc/vdradmind.conf, but:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 35 Feb 21 00:07 /etc/vdradmin-am/vdradmind.conf
-> /var/lib/vdradmin-am/vdradmind.conf
Would it make sense to change the default value for SERVERHOST to "::"
since that will bind the ipv4 socket as well?
Thanks for the response. Now if I could only get the streamdev plugin
IPv6 enabled as well, I'd be all set ... But it seems they've written
their own IP address based access list functions instead of using
libwrapper or something else that would automatically be IPv6 aware. )-;
