Bug probably found when I made my own backport package - can I send it to Debian BTS?

Hallo all,
  I've made my own backport package of vdr 2.0.3-1 and dvb-t receiving crashes periodically. I am not sure if I can send problem to BTS, because this package has not been created by your team. Can I ask you what to do with this bug?
