Subject: quota: edquota does not work with vim
Package: quota
Version: 3.04-1
Severity: important

[sorry for broken english]

Im using edquota like this:
  edquota -u username

It invokes vim and lets me change quotas
when i do :w in vim and cat the /tmp/xxx file,
the changes are written. after quitting vim with
'ZZ', it seems all went well, no messages at all.

Running edquota again shows no quotas have changed.

Don't know if this is of any help, but i include it anyway:

A lot of googleing/ edquota.c source reading later
i discovered few things.

Some dists include vitmp which is said to
be "suitable for editing files in /tmp".(?).

Doing export EDITOR=pico ( or any other editor)
and then invoking edquota, all works.

Probably irrelavant:
This computer is upgraded from potato.
My /tmp is a softlink to /var/tmp which is on
another partition.

(Should i file it to vim package instead?)
