Package: vim-gnome
Version: 1:6.3-013+2
Severity: normal

Neither vim-gtk nor vim-gnome save their font properly. At each start,
they fall back to "Sans 10" which is a major annoyance since that is not
a monospace font.

gvim 6.2 didn't save its font either, but at least it chose a monospace
font automatically ("Monospace 10" from what it looks).

The change occurred between versions 6.2-532+4 and 6.3-011+2.

Gvim doesn't save its font. If you want Gvim to remember the font
you're using, you need to explicitly add the setting to either your
~/.vimrc or ~/.gvimrc. The following help topics are relevant:

:help 'guifont'
:help setting-guifont
