That has to be driven by the author(s) of the scripts.  Bram wants to
interact directly with the people that maintain the scripts he includes,
not with passers-by.

The current syntax/html.vim doesn't support html5 at all, so simply
adding support for footer isn't particularly useful.

I'm not sure there's much use for this bug being tracked in Debian given
the above.
