Package: vim
Version: 2:7.3.547-7
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,

the version of vim that comes with debian is built with the following flags
http://paste.kde.org/pwpaq8uis/zeqx9c/raw

Some very useful plugins (eg. you-compleme-me) require vim to be built with python.
As python2 is installed by default on a debian system, having vim compiled with python support would be helpful.
