Hi,
after long time SVN repo and mailing list are up and running :-)
Please subscribe to the mailing list at:
You can browse the SVN repo at:
I have been commiting some packages to SVN repo. But ohphone, asterisk
and t38modem have patches of upstream source in Debian diff file, so
these packages should be changed to use dpatch if we want them to be
uploaded to the SVN repo.
Though I have added packages maintined by manty and Mark, I'd like to
know if you both are going to use the SVN repo. This will allow to
keep all packages in a good shape, and coordinated with pwlib/openh323
releases easily.
I have also susbcribed all related packages to the list using PTS.
Attached is the README file that it is in the repo. It's a draft, so
please send me any comments.
Cheers!

2. Subversion repository
------------------------

You can browse it only at:

To "checkout" the repository use these commands:
$ svn co svn+ssh://${ALIOTH_USERNAME}@pkg-gnome.alio=
th.debian.org/svn/pkg-voip/
Authorized SSH keys are controlled at https://alioth.debian.org/account/
The repository layout is:
- packagename/
- trunk/
- branches/
Under trunk/ is debian dir for the package in experimental (if any) or the =
one in=20
unstable if there is only one version at the moment in the archive.
When a new version of a package is going to experimental, a copy of trunk/
must be done in branches/'pkg-version'. This way we can work in both versio=
ns=20
at the same time without any problem.
3. Using svn-buildpackage
--------------------------
Packages with an upstream tarball will require you to set the mergeWithUpst=
ream
property first (from the package root) so that svn-buildpackage will look f=
or
the .orig.tar.gz in the ../tarballs directory.
% svn propset mergeWithUpstream 1 debian
Please note that this only works for packages which have only the debian/
directory committed. Consequently, you must use CDBS's simple-patchsys.mk or
dpatch to modify the upstream sources.
=
=20
After you have finished and committed your Debian patches via
% svn commit [PACKAGE]
as well as copying the orig.tar.gz to ../tarballs/ if necessary, you may bu=
ild
your package with the following commands:
% svn-buildpackage --svn-ignore-new -rfakeroot
Please, don't commit tarballs/ or build-area/ directories to SVN.
