The Debian asterisk package does not provide a starting point that will
detail Debian's customizations to the Asterisk package. Something in the
lines of:

The asterisk package installs a fully-functining asterisk server. It
includes the following asterisk apps: 
 * bla
 * bla
 * bla

The best place to go now would be http://[...]

If you have any Digium adapters you probaly need the zaptel kernel
module. Its sources come in the package zaptel-sources.
