Hello,
I've the same problem as bug #264805, I use the ALSA plugin (no OSS at
all) and other media player like 'xine' or 'xmms' can play music (the
same GNOME sound events work).
As I can see from the output below, I've 'libpt-1.6.3' but the
libpt-plugins-alsa' is version 1.7.5. Maybe is this the problem?

Yes, that's the version from experimental.=20
Try 'apt-get install libpt-plugins-alsa=3D1.6.6.4-5 '
Pwlib is not compatible among different versions.
