Package: speex
Version: 1.1.11-1
Severity: normal
$ speexenc pcm.wav speex.spx
speexenc: symbol lookup error: speexenc: undefined symbol: speex_lib_get_mode
$ file pcm.wav
pcm.wav: RIFF (little-endian) data, WAVE audio, Microsoft PCM, 16 bit, mono 8000 Hz
$ ldd `which speexenc`
linux-gate.so.1 => (0xffffe000)
libspeex.so.1 => /usr/lib/libspeex.so.1 (0xb7ee2000)
libogg.so.0 => /usr/lib/libogg.so.0 (0xb7edd000)
libm.so.6 => /lib/tls/libm.so.6 (0xb7eb7000)
libc.so.6 => /lib/tls/libc.so.6 (0xb7d7f000)
/lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0xb7f16000)
Upgrading libspeex1 to 1.1.11 (just now) seems to have fixed it. FYI I
also had the problem in speex 1.1.10-1, so I upgraded it but missed
libspeex1. You should depend on a more recent version of libspeex1.
