Hi Andre,

well, to be honest my experiences with Asterisk upstream have been all
but positive. Also I am in contact with OpenH323 upstream who are very
open towards conversation (which i have to admit is needed for their
ever changing API). Yet the asterisk team has so far refused (as OH323
upstream tells me) to discuss with OpenH323 developers or join efforts
to bring OpenH323 as lib and apps closer to one another.=20
The motivation in asterisk about H323 as protocol can maybe also be seen
in the fact that chan_h323 and chan_oh323 exist in parallel and have
both different problems in what they do not support. Thus neither of
which is a real solution to the problem of bad H323 support in Asterisk.

I've no idea what the 1.0.3 will be bringing, but maybe you're willing
to try with YATE which we're going to upload soon (trial packages are
available - mail me if you're interested).=20

If you have any idea how to reason the asterisk upstream into talking
with/about OpenH323 developers again instead of bitching around, let us
know whom to ask for a solution.
