Is asterisk-spandsp-plugins buildable on sarge?

I'm trying to keep my woody backport of asterisk in sync with the
version in sarge, but the latest update of asterisk-spandsp-plugins has
got me puzzled.  Version 0.0.20050203-3, uploaded to t-p-u, build-deps
on libspandsp-dev (>= 0.0.2pre17), whereas sarge is likely to ship with
0.0.2pre10-3.  This would seem to render a-s-p unbuildable on sarge,
wouldn't it?  (Or am I missing something?)
