Hi.  Thanks for your attention.

When starting asterisk, version 1.0.9.dfsg-6, there appears to be a
problem loading chan_zap.so.  On my system, asterisk fails and
complains about an undefined symbol:

# asterisk -U asterisk -v
[Much output deleted...]
 [chan_zap.so]Nov 16 23:38:43 WARNING[4597]: loader.c:258 ast_load_resource: /usr/lib/asterisk/modules/chan_zap.so: undefined symbol: pri_suspend_acknowledge

Inspecting chan_zap.so bears this out:

I can't find this symbol in any of the other asterisk-related binary files.

For those not using zaptel hardware, a good workaround is to add the
following line to /etc/asterisk/modules.conf:

noload => chan_zap.so
