We have an experimental area under svn.debian.org where we are playing with 
1.4.

Although we are days away from etch freezing, so we are currently working on 
getting the current suite, including asterisk-1.2.13 solid and resolving some 
of those bugs rather than new upstream work.

Once etch releases though it will be a quick switch to 1.4 work.
