Hello,
there is an updated set of prompts for the italian language available
here:
http://mirror.tomato.it/ftp/pub/asterisk/suoni_ita/it_mm_sounds_20060120.tar.gz
and they are expressely developed for version 1.2.x.
License is the same (also the authors are the same).

Current prompts are incomplete for latest version of asterisk.
