Yes that was the cause of the problem. 

As kiax_0.8.51.dfsg.orig.tar.gz wasn't identical for the -1 & -2 release.

Building was fine, it was uploading which caused the problems as 
kiax_0.8.51.dfsg.orig.tar.gz didn't match what was already in the archive.

I have now made kiax_0.8.51-1.dfsg.orig.tar.gz which will upload as a new 
upstream release.
