twinkle 0.7.1 for kubuntu

I have Kubuntu Dapper and I was trying to upgrade to twinkle 0.7.1 since all 
we have available on the adept repositories is version 0.4.2-1. 

I am however entering some dependency nightmare since the packages that 
twinkle is dependent on have their own dependency issues and so on.

Could you help me - give me some pointers on how to proceed? could the debian 
repository somehow be added to adept so that it can automatically resolve 
those dependencies?

I see that the Debian VoIP team is also responsible for maintaining the 
*ubuntu version of Twinkle. Could you add version 0.7.1 to the universe 
repository?
