Any plans to update Asterisk on Ubuntu

Asterisk 1.2.5 is currently latest stable release. 1.2.4 repaired  
significant memory leak which was present in all previous releases of  
Asterisk 1.2. So updating from 1.2.1 might be good.

Is there any chanse that 1.2. might be updated to Breezy or is  
dist-upgrade only possibility to get it directly from universe?
