I am fine with it. Do what you need to fit your requirements. The kiax's 
lib includes actually a modified version of the iaxclient based on the 
Tipic's version having a finer implementation of the EC algorithm 
(broken on standard iaxclient). Removing of the iLBC code is as easy as 
setting CODEC_ILBC=0 in the lib/Makefile, deleting the iLBC subdir and 
rebuilding the binaries. Anyway, linking to a current cvs iaxclient 
shouldnt do harm to the app itself, except the quality of EC.
