better way to handle patches

Hi, I've adapted a patch from a friend that enables a full Brazilian
Portuguese syntax in VoiceMail(), say function and app_sayunixtime.so in
Asterisk. The problem is this patch applies only in Asterisk 1.2.6 .deb, not
in trunk.
I don't want to expend more time changing it to cleanly apply in the current
pkgvoip SVN' set of patches but, it would be awesome to get included. Is
there some magic way to handle this kind of situation? What I mean is that
the patch is going to be applied after all others, but then the real code has
been changed and the patch doesn't apply anymore.
Well... again: is there some magic way to handle lots of patches that
writes/changes the same original file? If so, please let me know how; I'd
probably try it and after that I'd send the .dpatch to the list.
The original patch from him:

My .dpatch file for asterisk-1.2.6:
