ser in etch?

Hi folks,

I'm doing some QA / bug-squashing at the BSP in Zurich. I've come
across the RC bug (#390008) against ser-postgres-module, and things
are not looking good at the moment. There's also #384772 open for over
a month. These two bugs suggest that there's a choice of either:

 * a fair bit of tweaking and testing to make sure the ser packages
   will build on other architectures
 * marking the package not to be built on the other arches

Do you have plans to do one of these ASAP to allow this package to
ship with etch? If so, you'll need to be quick! Shout if you need help
on this...
