having just said that, of course the "renumbering issue" would also be
solved with:
svn_patcha.dpatch
svn_patchb.dpatch
debian_patchz.dpatch
merged_patchx.dpatch
where the names would be easier to move around in 00list without the
need to track the numbers correctly in which they will be applied. It's
rather the sheer experience with asterisk patches that
moving/renumbering patchfiles with a given number in the filename makes
editing unneccessarily difficult. Therefore, the order is given in
00list and the filenames shall be as speaking as can be to reflect the
purpose of the patch.
