Speex 1.2beta1 ASAP SVP

I see that the latest version at speex.org is 1.2beta1.  They say there are many improvements.  When will this be available in unstable?  Right now your latest release is only 1.1.12-3!  (ref: http://packages.qa.debian.org/s/speex.html )
