Before I rebuilt - 100% crash.

Since I rebuilt - 0% crash.

Why it was crashing: in channel.c:1712

static void free_translation(struct ast_channel *clone)
{
        if (clone->writetrans)
                ast_translator_free_path(clone->writetrans);

writetrans was 0x800000008 (sic).

It was set to this value somewhere between the channel being allocated 
in ast_channel_alloc and the call to __ast_pbx_run.
