Thanks for the detailed bug report.

This is an issue with libvpb -- probably with the way asterisk uses it 
(and that's why I'm not reassigning it).

Do you have a VPB card and/or a modified vpb.conf?

We'll definitely fix it, even though we haven't been able to reproduce 
it. Will try though.

Meanwhile, you can add an explicit noload => chan_vpb.so to your 
modules.conf, as a temporary workaround.
