I could, but at this stage the plan is to wait another day or so
for the early responders, then upload it to unstable and put out
the fires as they start.  So it probably won't have much chance
to propagate via experimental that way, let alone have time for
anyone who isn't already on the ball to get around to it ...

If we want to have this bedded down in plenty of time for lenny,
we do need to pick up the pace a bit now.

The current repo for these packages is here:
git://git.debian.org/git/users/ron/speex.git

I can push that under pkg-voip if others in the group would also
like to be able to commit to it directly.  It is planned to sync
this with svn when we have a viable release, right now it's just
the off-site backup of my working copy ... ;)
