Hi Mark,
as a general remark: Please concentrate on fixing RC bugs and do not
add noise due to new standards-versions and lintian nitpicks which
do cause us additional work and are *not* critical for the release.
Such cleanup should happen well before the release, not now.
You owe me at least one RC bug fix now.
