Thanks for your report. The file in question is
/usr/share/doc/asterisk-doc/manager.txt.gz from the package
asterisk-doc. It is a copy of
http://svn.digium.com/svn/asterisk/branches/1.4/doc/manager.txt
(or rather: the one from the specific tag)

The default configuration probably needs to be worked out after Lenny is
released.
